INTRODUCTION:

Many people understand the importance of a covering. Yet, there are some who have never heard this concept and have questions such as, Why do I need a covering? The word “Cover” means to enclose, shelter, to shield, surround or to keep safe. The concept or principle of a covering was and is created by God. It is something that he established when he created earth and it is also something that God applies to the things that belong to him. It’s seen throughout scripture, and I think, at least in the American church; it is often lost or overlooked due to the independent nature of the American people. This is something that is prominent in this nation. If you are an independent type of person, you likely are not under a covering, and may not understand the benefits and importance of it. You may be at risk of missing out on the blessings that God has proclaimed and designed for his people.

Deuteronomy 33:12 “And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.”
